About Me

Jakes Bejoy is a composer, sound designer, performer and engineer who has scored and performed in several feature films, albums, and jingles. He holds a graduate degree in Music Science and Technology from CCRMA, Stanford University. His music brings together elements of Indian classical music and experimental electronic music.

He is extremely interested in exploring how space could be well incorporated in composition and sound design. His projects in CCRMA had special focus on 3d audio, Virtual Surround Sound, Headphone Virtualization, and Enhanced recording techniques. He has done a research project in the area of music cognition and perception under Prof.Jonathan Berger and Vinod Menon analyzing the rhythm perception.

His aim is set up an audio research and media lab in India to promote and encourage new thoughts in music production interaction and application.
